St Paul’s CE Academy is partnered with REC Kossoh Town. Jason Morton and his colleague Jamie Orsbourne were out there in February, sharing teaching ideas with their SL opposite numbers. Jason writes:
As part of our school link we brought a parachute out to REC Kossoh and showed one of the teachers how she could use it to interact with her children. We made suggestions of how she could use it to teach times tables, multiples, odd and even numbers as well as prime numbers.
We also looked at how we could help the children to understand mathematical problems using concrete and pictorial strategies using the resources that they have in the classroom.
