Mandy Hinxman was one of the group of teachers over in Hastings SL at the end of October.
Mandy writes: ” Our IPC are working in unison on ways to protect our environment. During our recent visit, we shared the story, the seeds of change, by Wangari of Nigeria. When she returned to her homelands, she was surprised to see how many trees had been felled and so her story began.
Edest, Jui Barracks, Freetown, have begun their own replanting of trees and educating the local community on the need for protecting our environment.”
Here is what teacher Edmond Tommy Jnr told Mandy about his school’s plans, followed by some great photos and a short video clip.
