Children at Edest have been learning about how to handle a native species of turtle and will continue to understand how these and other creatures are affected by humans in their environment.
Joe James, a teacher at Edest, has been nurturing the turtles so that his students learn more about environmental issues in their local habitat. The children have been learning what to do when meeting living creatures and in future lessons they’ll be talking about the food they eat and the impact that humans make on the environment.
